Meredith Barrow

College Advisor - South High School

Meredith graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a B.S. in Business. During her undergraduate career, she discovered her passion for higher education while working for both the Vice Chancellor for Student Success and the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance.

After graduation, Meredith worked as an Admissions Counselor in the Office of Student Recruitment and Admissions Counseling at UCCS. During this time, she learned about the Denver Scholarship Foundation and first became involved with the organization as a Future Center volunteer at North High School. Now, Meredith is a College and Financial Aid Advisor for South High School, where first and foremost, she is an advocate and coach for her students. She works with them on navigating the college process, including completing the initial admissions application, applying for financial aid and transitioning from high school to college. To Meredith, the students she works with are motivating and inspiring. One of her favorite things about her job is being able to watch the students transform over their senior year, as they develop confidence and poise by the time they graduate.

DSF is Meredith’s number one passion. She loves being part of an organization where people with similar background and unique specialties come together to brainstorm ideas and share practices about how to better serve Denver’s students and community.

In her spare time, Meredith enjoys running, spending time with the people most important to her and is a huge college basketball fan. She also has a passion for cheerleading. In 2007, she developed and started the UCCS Cheerleading program and coached for 9 years. Currently, she is a Regional/State Cheerleading judge for the state of Colorado.
