Ways We Help
Denver Public School (DPS) students need to believe that a college education is a real, attainable part of their future. Most will be the first in their families to attend college and don’t know where to begin. Others have the academic potential but not the resources to move forward. We aim to change the game. Here’s how:
- In-school Future Centers that provide students personal guidance through the selection, application and financial aid processes
- Need-based scholarships from the Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) that makes applying for three additional scholarships and grants a pre-requisite for consideration
- Retention services to ensure that students enrolled in college successfully complete their course of study
DSF transforms the college-focused culture for students across the district by raising expectations and providing the resources that empower students to pursue their dreams.
